Cameron Norrie had a breakthrough 2021 season. He won his first ATP title the 2021 Los Cabos Open, with a straight sets win against Brandon Nakashima in the final. He also won the Indian Wells title, which was surprisingly his first Masters 1000 final. He entered the ATP Finals as an alternative after Stefano Tsitsipas withdrew with an injury. He broke into the top-15 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career.

Similar to the Brit, Sebastian Korda also had a remarkable 2021 season. He won his first ATP title at the Emilia-Romagna Open in May. He also made the fourth round at Wimbledon. He capped off his brilliant campaign by finishing runner-up at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan. The American finished the season with a career-high ranking of 41.
