The first day of school can be traumatic for anyone. But if you're attending school for the first time ever, separation anxiety from mom can be especially tough.
The first day of school can be traumatic for anyone. But if you're attending school for the first time ever, separation anxiety from mom can be especially tough.
A Los Angeles boy's interaction with a reporter on the first day of school was going okay.
Andrew Macias, 4, answered a few questions as he made his way into City Terrace Elementary School on Tuesday.
"Are you excited for pre-kindergarten?" the reporter, Courtney Friel, asked Andrew.
He enthusiastically replied yes.
Then Courtney asked the dreaded question: "are you going to miss your mom?"
At first Andrew confidently said no. Then, on second thought, he began to tear up.
If that breaks your heart, you'll be happy to hear that Andrew's mom was there with a hug off camera as soon as the interview was over.
