When is the NBA draft 2024? How to watch, stream and draft order

The 2023-24 NBA just wrapped with the Boston Celtics winning a record-breaking 18th title.

While the action on the court is over, the offseason is just beginning with the NBA draft just around the corner.

Here's everything you need to know about this year's draft:

When is the NBA draft 2024

The 2024 NBA draft will be Wednesday, June and Thursday, June 27.

The first round will take place June 26 starting at 8 p.m. ET. The second round will start at 4 p.m. ET on June 27.

When does NBA free agency start

According to the NBA, here are key dates for the 2024 free agent period:

Day After Last Game of NBA Finals: Each NBA team may begin negotiating with upcoming free agents who finished the just-completed season on its roster.

June 30: Each NBA team may begin negotiating with all other upcoming free agents beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

July 6: Each NBA team may begin signing free agents to contracts 12:01 p.m. ET.

Where is NBA draft 2024

The first round of the draft will be at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The second round will be at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York City.

For the first time, the NBA draft is moving to a two-day format.

ABC and ESPN will broadcast the first round of the draft. The second round will only air on ESPN.
